C-BEN Membership Application 2018-19 Academic Year

C-BEN is a network of colleges, organizations, and individuals dedicated to realizing the potential of competency-based education. Members share a commitment to core principles and a willingness to work collaboratively to harness the potential of the CBE ecosystem; promote and advance CBE as a strong and legitimate pathway to high-quality degrees and credentials for all learners; play a defining role in the growth of the movement; build and scale high-quality CBE programs; and advance the latest in innovative competency-based learning practices.

C-BEN strives to represent an ensemble of institutions, systems, corporations, service providers, and others with a vested interest in advancing the field.

Those interested in joining C-BEN must commit to actively participate in collaborations to:

• Build and promote high-quality standards and practices;

• Measure and share efficacy outcomes;

• Participate in a shared research agenda;

• Develop and foster continued innovation; and

• Educate elected officials about legislative and regulatory issues related to the growth, scale, and protection of the movement.
